Sliding Folding Swing Door

The site is a garage that no longer admits cars. A pedestrian entry is thus needed. In the existing pair of sliding vehicle doors, which have to be able to lock after the modification, a new swing door with folding frame is inserted. Similar to the insertion of a new building into an existing urban context, the door design simultaneously deals with intervention and invention. The outcome of such effort combines the original and additional thus combines, unconventionally, the conventional movements of sliding, folding, and swing.
